We as people seek and crave leaders. They give us hope and promise for the better. We desire form and structure. They present us with opinions so we don't have to create our own. Most are afraid to think for themselves because if they are wrong there's supposedly no blame upon them. When in fact they are more to blame for not thinking and constructing on their own. We trust in them to show us a better and more attractive path.

In addition, some leaders are only out to deceive us. They get what they want then use us like money. Obtaining us only to give us away for personal gain. They first corrupt us with propaganda. Then stray us away from society and reality to eventually betray who trusts them. Their acts of beguiling wrap us around them so when they bring us down we will hopefully come back blinded. Bringing us new promise and suck us into a spiral.

Although, there are those such as I who observe and learn. We are not undiscerning to their atrocious plans. We read them and see through their distorted smiles. Guarding ourselves from pain and embarrassment. We are not so easy to give our trust to such foolish people. We are non-conformists, rebelling against those whom use deluding words. We set up walls until we have enough faith in people to let them past our bricks of experience and knowledge. Making sure we do not fall into their infinite spirals.
